CF Industries, Trafigura and TFG Marine sign to advance low-carbon ammonia for maritime decarbonisation

Facilitating the adoption of low-carbon ammonia as marine fuel; this is the objective of the memorandum of understanding signed between CF Industries, Trafigura and TFG Marine on 15/01/2026.

CF Industries Holdings Inc. is a global manufacturer of hydrogen and nitrogen products. Trafigura is a global commodities trading group, operating in oil, metals, minerals, gas and power. TFG Marine is an international marine fuel supply and procurement joint venture between Trafigura and ship owning companies Frontline Ltd and Golden Ocean Group Ltd.

The agreement plans for these three companies to facilitate together the adoption of low-carbon ammonia as a marine fuel, initially in the U.S. and Europe, by developing the market, enhance stakeholder's engagement and planning bunkering logistics.
