Rosalinde van der Vlies is appointed Director for carbon markets and clean mobility in the European Commission's DG CLIMA, she announced on Linkedin on 28 September 2026.

She succeeded Beatriz Yordi, who has been in this position since 2017.

Rosalinde van der Vlies was previously DG ENER’s Directorate for Just Transition, Consumers, Efficiency and Innovation, and Clean Planet Director in the DG RTD (Research and Innovation).

“With the Commission’s post-2030 EU ETS1 review proposal now on the table, we have important discussions ahead on how Europe’s carbon market can continue to reduce emissions while driving investment, innovation and the competitiveness of European industry.
