"The proposed European regulation on the European Industrial Accelerator (Industrial Accelerator Act) represents a major boost for European clean-tech companies", said Christophe Grudler, MEP (Renew) and the Parliament’s rapporteur on the IAA, to News Tank on 30 September 2026.

This regulation is expected to benefit the net-zero technology sector both directly and indirectly, namely batteries, solar panels, heat pumps, wind power, hydrogen and nuclear energy, he explains.

The IAA aims to strengthen the EU’s industrial base and promote its decarbonisation.
