Dunkirk Gigafactory: “Large-scale production is scheduled for late 2028” (C. Sung, ProLogium)

“We held the ground-breaking ceremony for the ‘gigafactory’ in Dunkirk (Nord) in February 2026. We are now working with our EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) contractor, Exyte, on the detailed design of the factory. Mass production is expected to begin by the end of 2028. We plan to install 4 GWh of production capacity by 2030, depending on market dynamics. We then plan to increase our capacity to around 12 GWh by 2032. “The land at the Dunkirk site has been reserved to accommodate 44 to 48 GWh,” Catherine Sung, Head of Marketing and Strategy at ProLogium, told News Tank on 28 September 2026.
