FAO: Global conference on One Health in agrifood systems closes in Rome

The FAO Global Conference for Actions on One Health in Agrifood Systems concluded on 23 September 2026 at FAO headquarters in Rome, after three days bringing together global leaders, technical experts and stakeholders under the theme that One Health is "everyone's health, everyone's responsibility and everyone's action."

One Health is an integrated approach seeking to sustainably balance the health of people, animals, plants and ecosystems. FAO frames agrifood systems as complex socio-ecological webs, where soil, water, plant, animal and human health are deeply interconnected, and where those connections ultimately shape food safety, nutrition and system resilience.
