Ministry for Ecological Transition: Dorian Fontanilles, Chief of Staff to Monique Barbut

Dorian Fontanilles has been appointed Chief of Staff to Monique Barbut, Minister for Ecological Transition, Biodiversity and International Climate and Nature Negotiations, by a decree dated 18 September 2026 published in the Official Journal on 23 September 2026. He takes over from Thomas Cuvelier, who had held the post since 14 October 2025, with effect from 1 October 2026.

Dorian Fontanilles had previously served as deputy chief of staff to Monique Barbut since October 2025. He also served as deputy chief of staff to Agnès Pannier-Runacher, Minister for Ecological Transition, Biodiversity, Forests, the Sea and Fisheries, between September 2024 and October 2025.
