Agenda: events not to be missed from 14 to 18 September

The highlight of this week’s European activities will be the State of the Union (SOTEU) address that Ursula von der Leyen will deliver in Strasbourg on 16 September before MEPs assembled in plenary session: this will be followed by a debate, with a view to translating these priorities into legislative roadmaps. Climate and climate crises are among the six strategic priorities expected to feature in the speech.
Elsewhere in Europe, numerous events are addressing various aspects of the transitions: Eurosun in Fribourg on solar technologies, Remtech in Italy on water and soil remediation solutions, Civitas Forum in Greece on sustainable urban mobility, and Cradle to Cradle in Berlin on the circular economy, are all on the programme, alongside a dozen other international events.
