EuropaBio: Marije Laffeber appointed as director of industrial biotechnology

Marije Laffeber is appointed as director of industrial biotechnology of EuropaBio, announced the association on 1 September 2026.

She is succeeding to Anne-Gaëlle Collot, at this position from May 2023 to February 2026.

Marije Laffeber started her career as communication and liaison officer of the Dutch Labour Party (PvdA) delegation to the European Parliament, then of the Party Parliamentary Group. She became policy adviser to the Socialist International Women.

She also held the position of International Secretary and vice-chair for European Affairs of the PvdA. After that, she joined the Party of European Socialists as Deputy Secretary General.
