FR / Ministry of the Economy: Laura Berthet appointed Deputy Director for Ecological Transition

Laura Berthet, Chief Statistical Engineer, Economics and Data, has been appointed Deputy Director for Ecological Transition within the Ecological and Sectoral Policies Department of the Direction générale du Trésor, by decree dated 28 August 2026, published in the Official Journal on 29 August 2026.

With effect from 1 September 2026, for a term of three years and subject to a six-month probationary period, she succeeds Édouard Chrétien, who has held this post since January 2024.

A graduate of ENSAE Paris and ENS Cachan (now ENS Paris-Saclay), Laura Berthet began her career at the direction générale du Trésor in 2013 as deputy head of the financial sector economic analysis division, before becoming deputy head of the ‘Labour Market and Employment Policies’ office in 2016.
