France 2030: Six new winners by the ‘Corimer Low-Carbon Vessel’ call for proposals, totalling €21.4 M

The six new winners of the second round of the “Corimer Low-Carbon Ships” call for proposals under France 2030 were announced by the Government on 24 August 2026. They will receive funding totalling €21.4 million.

The aim of this call for proposals, launched in January 2025, is to support innovative solutions that will “rapidly and sustainably reduce emissions from maritime transport”.

As part of this second round of funding, managed by the French sustainability public agency Ademe on behalf of the State, the six successful projects are:

• GDS 3, led by Grain de Sail Shipping, in partnership with Chantiers de l’Atlantique: a project for a container ship with sail as its primary propulsion system.
