Agenda: events not to be missed from 24 August to 28 August

The European institutions (Council, Commission, Parliament) will resume their work during the week of 31 August, but there are some high-profile events taking place this week across Europe: the World Water Week in Stockholm, attended by Jessika Roswall, European Commissioner for the Environment, Water Resilience and a Competitive Circular Economy; the 15^th Conference on Ecological Restoration, bringing together more than 500 participants at the University of Western Brittany in Brest; as well as the CIGRE Paris Session 2026, a must-attend event for electricity network operators, featuring numerous topics focused on renewables and eco-design.

• World Water Week 2026, in Stockholm, organised by the Stockholm International Water Institute, has the theme ‘Water for People and Progress’ and runs until 28 August.
