French Ministry for Ecological Transition: Thomas Collin, Chief of Staff to Mathieu Lefèvre

Thomas Collin has been appointed Chief of Staff to Mathieu Lefèvre, Minister Delegate for the Ecological Transition, according to a decree dated 30 July 2026, published in the Official Journal on 5 August.

He succeeded Mariana Caillaud on 1 August 2026, after she announced at the end of July that she was joining the President of the Republic’s office as an adviser on industry and public shareholdings.

Prior to this, Thomas Collin served as deputy chief of staff to Minister Monique Barbut from 17 October 2025. Prior to this, he worked at the Ministry for Overseas Territories as an adviser responsible for social cohesion, health, education, youth and sport from October 2024.
