"The Net Zero Engagement Initiative's six core asks have been useful in giving structure to our company engagements, helping move conversations from high-level ambition to evidence of delivery," states an Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change’s (IIGCC) member in the organisation’s Progress Report 2025-26 for the Net Zero Engagement Initiative (NZEI), published on 27/07/2026.

In the report, IIGCC's investor-led initiative sets out how it supports members seeking to bring a brighter share of their individual investment portfolios in line with a net zero trajectory through corporate engagement. "NZEI enables investors to manage climate risks and preserve portfolio value through climate engagement that supports company decarbonisation," the report states.
