EthiFinance / ESG Book: merger of two European credit and non-financial rating agencies

The French group Ethifinance, a leading player in the European sustainable finance market, founded in 2004, and the German group ESG Book, founded in 2018 and also operating in Europe, as well as in the United States, India and Japan, have announced their merger, in Paris and Frankfurt on 10 July 2026, with a view to creating an independent European leader offering both credit ratings and non-financial ratings.

Operating under the EthiFinance brand, the new group, which employs 300 experts, is able to meet the diverse needs of players in the finance and sustainable finance sectors, combining proven expertise in European SMEs with global coverage of over 10,000 companies, serving more than 500 clients.
