Sciences Po and Columbia University Launch Joint Degree in Ecological Transition and Climate Risks

Sciences Po and Columbia University announced on 08/07/2026 the launch of a dual master's programme in ecological transition and climate risk, combining a Master of Arts from Sciences Po's Paris Climate School with a Master of Science from the Columbia Climate School. Running two years, the programme will admit its first class in Fall 2027, with applications opening in September 2026, and aims to prepare future leaders working across climate science, policy-making, and governance.

The programme builds on a long-standing partnership between the two universities, both hosting among the first dedicated climate graduate schools in Europe and the United States.
