Agenda: events not to be missed from 29 June to 2 July

On Monday 29 June, the Parliament’s SANT and ITRE committees will discuss the European Biotech Act 1, with a deadline for amendments set for 7 July. Also on 29 June, an online session with the European Commissioner for Climate Action, Woepke Hokstra, will examine carbon capture and storage (CCS) within the EU’s climate policy.
In Lyon, the Novatech 2026 trade fair, dedicated to sustainable rainwater management and climate adaptation, continues until 3 July.
On 30 June, a webinar will analyse nature-based solutions to climate risks, drawing on feedback from European projects and pioneering regions.
On 1 July, Ireland will take over the rotating presidency of the Council of the EU for six months, with its environmental priorities being competitiveness, energy security and preparations for COP31. In Paris, the national branch of Club France for the financing of nature and communities will be launched in the presence of Monique Barbut.
