FR / Conseil national de l'air: appointment of 55 members; MP Jean-Luc Fugit re-elected as chair

The members of the Conseil national de l'air, a French national body for consultation, dialogue and policy proposals dedicated to improving air quality and combating air pollution, were appointed by a decree dated 12 June 2026, published in the French Official Journal on 20 June.

In addition to one Member of Parliament and one Senator, the Council comprises 55 members divided into six colleges:
• a college of representatives of the State and its public bodies (12 members);
• a college of representatives of local authorities (12 members);
• a college of representatives of the professional sector (8 members);
• a panel of employee representatives from trade unions recognised at national level (3 members);
• a panel of representatives from associations, foundations and other organisations (7 members);
• a panel of qualified experts (13 members), including six specialists appointed on the basis of their expertise in the fields of combating air pollution and improving air quality.
