Adaptation to climate change: quick guides launched under the EU Adaptation Mission and Regilience+

Eight quick guides for climate adaptation, developed by the Regilience+ project under the EU Mission on adaptation to climate change, were published on 17/06/2026. They aim to "transform regional experience and expertise into practical support for local and regional authorities".

The mission specifies that these guides are an updated version of previous guides, incorporating knowledge and resources from many other Mission Projects and Climate-ADAPT.

Each one of the updated eight guides focuses on a climate risk, from floods and water scarcity to heatwaves, storms, and snow and ice - and provides concrete actions that can be implemented on the ground.

Local and regional authorities, facing the impacts of increasingly frequent and severe climate hazards, are being asked "to strengthen preparedness and accelerate adaptation efforts across a wide range of climate risks all while facing limited budget concerns".

To address this double issue, authorities can use Regilience+'s guides "to quickly respond to climate threats and drive competitiveness in their region".
