FNE: Nicolas Richard elected Chair; new Board of directors and Executive Committee

Nicolas Richard has been elected president of France Nature Environnement following its General Assembly, the organisation announced on 13 June 2026. Previously a member of the board of directors and the executive committee as vice-president of the organisation, he succeeds Antoine Gatet, who had been in the role since 2023.

A qualified water and forestry engineer, he launched his consultancy firm specialising in ecological strategy in 2003. He joined FNE Pays de la Loire in 2016, before becoming vice-president of the national FNE in 2019, where he also serves as treasurer. In 2021, he was appointed as an adviser representing nature and environmental protection associations at the CESE.

Nicolas Richard said: “Together we will continue to provide solutions to the major challenges of our time, and show that there is no need to give up, thanks to our collective expertise and coordinated action. ”

The association’s General Assembly also partially renewed its board of directors, with the following members re-elected: Marion Fourtune, Jean-Claude Futhazar, Olivier Gourbinot, Alain Grapinet…
