FR/Decarbonisation : two national calls for tenders, GPID and DECARB IND, launched as part of France 2030

Launch of the second "Call for Proposals for Major Industrial Decarbonisation Projects" (AO GPID), and a new round of the "DECARB IND" call for projects, as part of France 2030, to enable the continuation of decarbonisation and electrification efforts in industry: This was announced by the French Government on 06/06, following the announcements made during the unveiling of the plan for the electrification of end-use sectors.

The AO GPID supports the largest industrial decarbonisation projects by allocating direct grants under long-term financing contracts. It is aimed at existing industrial activities subject to the European Union Emissions Trading System (EU ETS) and relying on decarbonisation solutions that are sufficiently mature, notably electrification, improved energy efficiency, changes to the energy mix or materials mix, and carbon capture and storage (CCS).
