FR / Solar energy: "Time is running out, and this is now a political issue" (Jules Nyssen, SER)

"This is a very serious time for our companies. Our solar industry is in a state of near-moratorium. Here's what's at stake: 80,000 direct and indirect jobs and almost €296 m in tax revenue for local authorities. This is a political issue", said Jules Nyssen, Chairman of the French Renewable Energy Syndicate (SER), at the 11^th national photovoltaic symposium held in Strasbourg (Bas-Rhin) on 09/06/2026.

On 17/06/2026, the SER and Enerplan will be meeting with the cabinet of Maud Bregeon, the French Minister for Energy, to review the Government's policy on the development of solar energy, four months after the publication of the PPE 3: "There is no visibility on the AO for solar energy after the summer of 2026. This is catastrophic. Let's not forget that a third of the jobs in the French solar industry are under threat. Let's be consistent, we need to produce, but how are we going to manage 2027, a sort of blank year? Time is running out", says Daniel Bour, Chairman of Enerplan.
