Rebound: a joint-venture between Technip Energies, Airbus, Safran and Tereos dedicated to SAF production

Rebound is the name of the joint venture that Technip Energies, Airbus, Safran and Tereos intend to set up to produce 160,000 tonnes per year of sustainable aviation fuels in the port of Dunkirk (Nord), the protagonists announced on 09/06/2026.

Technip Energies will act as the project's lead developer and engineering services provider. Airbus and Safran will be industrial partners "contributing to securing commercial outlets and potential buyers for SAF". Tereos, an ethanol producer, will provide the supply of advanced ethanol.

The four players have signed an agreement committing them to finance the development phase of the project, which includes the engineering studies and other activities required to consider a final investment decision.

" The Port of Dunkirk has awarded Technip Energies an industrial site in northern France which, once the joint venture is finalised, will provide Rebound with logistical advantages for the transportation of raw materials and products, as well as a simplified permitting process," says Technip Energies.
