"We're in a period where some activities have to be stopped, and that hurts. But there are still more things to build than to stop. In the world of energy, it's spectacular. Not only are there new needs, but some of the existing needs have to be met by technologies that have to be implemented, because we can no longer rely on previous technologies. We are in a world of opportunities much more than risks", says Isabelle Kocher de Leyritz, co-founder and chairman of Blunomy, at Think Energies 2026, organised at Sorbonne University (Paris 5e) by News Tank Energies, on 04/06/2026.

The former CEO of Engie (2016-2020) spoke at a keynote address on the theme "Transition, from headache to economic opportunity".

" So we need to devote time to foresight. It's absolutely vital. Steering today with tomorrow in mind is not the same as steering today with tomorrow in mind. In the second case, we think about the future, but we still steer in much the same way as before. In the first case, we put all our effort into understanding tomorrow, and then figuring out how to get there as well as possible…
