Green hydrogen: partnership between Lhyfe and Strabag for development in Germany

News Tank Transitions - Bruxelles - News #442561 - Published on

Developing green hydrogen in Germany is the aim of the partnership signed between Lhyfe, a producer and supplier of green hydrogen, and Strabag, an infrastructure builder and manager, Lhyfe announced on 28/05/2026. The aim is to speed up the development and implementation of green hydrogen projects in Germany as the European RED III directive is transposed into German law.

" Germany is currently transposing the European directive on renewable energies RED III into national law and is therefore one of the most advanced markets in terms of structuring demand for renewable hydrogen (RFNBO)", says Lhyfe.

In concrete terms, this partnership will speed up project planning and implementation; reduce the risks associated with development and implementation in a targeted way; and drive forward hydrogen projects in Germany and, ultimately, in the rest of Europe. This agreement could be extended to other European countries.
