Offshore wind farms: TotalEnergies applies for a single permit for the "Centre Manche 2" wind farm

Centre Manche Énergies, a project company wholly-owned by TotalEnergies, has submitted the application for a single permit for the 1.5 GW Centre Manche 2 offshore wind farm project, located off the coast of Normandy, TotalEnergies announced on 28/05/2026.

The application includes technical and environmental studies, a preliminary design of the wind farm and the proposed installation programme. "The environmental impact study has been drawn up taking into account the conclusions of the above-mentioned studies, regular exchanges with government departments and contributions received during consultations with regional stakeholders", TotalEnergies states.

At the same time as the project is being examined by the public authorities, Centre Manche Energies will continue the consultation process with elected representatives, environmental associations, sea users and the general public. The final investment decision is expected in early 2029, with production scheduled to start in 2033.
