UK: Loganair and ClimHtech Green Flight ink 15-year SAF offtake agreement; deliveries scheduled by 2029

Loganair, the UK’s largest regional airline, and ClimaHtech Green Flight announced a 15-year SAF offtake agreement, on 26/05/2026.

The SAF will be produced using ClimaHtech Green Flight’s advanced technology pathways, including BioSAF (Power-Biomass-to-Liquid) and eSAF (Power-to-Liquid). ClimaHtech Green Flight’s technology enables decentralised SAF production that can utilise waste biomass feedstocks and flexibly operate alongside intermittent renewable power sources through its proprietary technology.

ClimaHtech Green Flight is currently developing a First-of-a-Kind (FOAK) SAF production project, aligning closely with Loganair’s core operational footprint across the Scottish Highlands, Islands and regional UK routes, including Northern Ireland (ClimaHtech Green Flight has developed an industrial demonstrator at Belfast, where the company is registered).

The parties will continue to work together as ClimaHtech Green Flight advances project development, regulatory engagement, and site selection, with a view to supplying SAF by 2029.
