EC: publication of the list of products and waste containing recoverable critical materials

On 27/05/2026, the European Commission published in the Official Journal of the EU (OJEU) the implementing regulation 2026/1116 establishing the list of products, components and waste streams considered to present a relevant potential for recovery of critical raw materials under regulation 2024/1252 (CRMA regulation, Critical Raw Material Act, adopted on 11/04/2024).
The products listed must be incorporated into the national plans of the Member States, which may also add others, and the list may be revised in line with future technological developments. Mining waste is not included in this regulation.
