Ademe: the Board of Directors votes in favour of a resolution against the Government's reform plan

Ademe's Board of Directors voted in favour of a resolution against the Government's proposed reform of Ademe at an extraordinary meeting on 19/05/2026. The resolution was adopted by representatives of employees, local elected representatives, members of parliament and qualified personalities.

A bill "aimed at strengthening the State at local level, coordinating its action with local authorities and providing greater security for public decision-makers" was presented to the Council of Ministers on 20/05/2026. Article 7 of the bill provides for "the integration of Ademe's regional delegations into the Dreal (Directions régionales de l'Environnement, de l'Aménagement et du Logement)".

The Board of Directors is calling on the government to provide Ademe with "sustainable resources".
