FR/SNBC 3: final consultation phase launched "in the next few days" (Conseil de planification écologique)

The final phase of public consultation on the 3rd SNBC (French National Low Carbon Strategy) will be launched in the next few days, and the strategy for financing the ecological transition will be updated and consolidated in 2026: these are some of the announcements made by the President of the Republic at the end of the 5th Conseil de planification écologique, organised in the presence of the Prime Minister and ten ministers on 19/05/2026.

A detailed update on the progress of the French electrification plan and the commitments of the private sector will also be announced "in the next few days". According to the Élysée, "by electrifying our industries, vehicles and buildings with electricity that is 95% carbon-free and produced domestically, our country will reduce its energy bill by €20-40 Bn by 2030".
