Corentin Goupillier has been appointed Deputy Director of Legal Affairs for the Environment, Urban Planning and Housing, within the General Secretariat at the central administration of the Ministry for Ecological Transition, by order of 11/05/2026, published in the Official Journal of 13/05.

As of 08/06/2026, he will succeed Éric Sacher, who has held this position since 2020 and for whom he was deputy. Corentin Goupillier has been appointed for a three-year term.

Corentin Goupillier began his career as a lawyer specialising in environmental and town planning law in 2011, before joining the Commission de régulation de l'énergie (CRE) as a European law officer in 2015. In 2020, he became a magistrate at the Cergy-Pontoise Administrative Court.

He joined the MTE's Legal Affairs Department in 2023, first as head of the Water and Nature Legal Affairs Office, then as Deputy to the Assistant Director of Legal Affairs for the Environment, Town Planning and Housing in October 2025.
