European Sustainability Reporting Standards' revision: "Have your say" open until 03/06/2026 (Commission)

The Commission launched a four-week consultation on the revised draft of the European Sustainable Reporting Standards (ESRS) and the voluntary sustainability reporting standard for smaller companies on 06/05/2026. The "Have you say" will be open until 03/06/2026, so stakeholders can provide feedback.

"ESRS cover environmental, social, and governance issues, including climate change, biodiversity and human rights", describes the Commission. "These standards provide information for investors and other stakeholders to understand the sustainability-related risks to which companies are exposed and their impacts on people and the environment."

The Commission adds that "the voluntary standard draft will support companies outside mandatory CSRD reporting and establishes a ‘value chain cap', preventing CSRD in-scope companies from requiring more information from value-chain partners with 1,000 employees or fewer than what the voluntary standard covers."
