TotalEnergies: Mathias Ginet appointed Director of the Biohub

Mathias Ginet has been appointed director of TotalEnergies' "Biohub" strategic programme, the company announced on 05/05/2026.

He was previously agricultural adviser to Emmanuel Macron, President of the Republic, from 20/06/2022 to 01/04/2026.

Mathias Ginet is a former student of the Ecole Nationale d'Administration (ENA). He joined the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty in 2014, as "sustainable development and climate negotiations" project manager. In 2016, he became head of the office for the coordination of operators, before becoming, two years later, adviser on agro-ecological transitions, European affairs (CAP) and plant sectors. From 2020 to 2022, he was Counsellor for Agricultural Affairs at the French Embassy in Germany.

Mathias Ginet also took part in Emmanuel Macron's campaign in 2016, as coordinator of the working group on agriculture for the En Marche party.

Mathias Ginet's mission at TotalEnergies will be to "accelerate the development of biofuels and provide concrete solutions to the decarbonisation of transport".
