Financing biodiversity: "Businesses have an interest in acting for themselves" (B. Clocheret, Medef)

"Businesses have an interest in acting for themselves with a view to long-term resilience", Benoît Clocheret, co-chairman of Medef's Ecological and Economic Transition Commission, told News Tank on 28/04/2026. "One of the aims of the guide we published was to remind businesses of the economic rationale for preserving and restoring biodiversity, and to translate this into practice."

He comments on a guide produced by the federation's Biodiversity Committee, devoted to the financing of biodiversity and aimed at businesses, published on 25/03/2026.

"Businesses often already contribute, sometimes indirectly, to the conservation and preservation of biodiversity", Clocheret says.
