UNIDO joins the ENACT coalition to accelerate the implementation of Nature-based Solutions (NbS)

"The United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) formally joined the ENACT Partnership (Enhancing Nature-based Solutions for an Accelerated Climate Transformation)", announced the intergovernmental organisation on 20/04/2026.

ENACT, launched in November 2022 under the International Union for Conservation of Nature's (IUCN) stewardship, has assembled a coalition of 27 State and non-State partners co-designing an action-based agenda to amplify NbS commitments, accelerate their implementation, create coherence to fragmented initiatives, build a collective narrative around the value of NbS and facilitate the policy dialogues. IUCN developed a global standard for NbS and contributed to embedding it within international climate and biodiversity frameworks.
