FR / MTE: vacancy notice for the Sub-Directorate for Ship Safety and Ecological Transition

The vacancy notice for a Deputy Director of Ship Safety and Ecological Transition in the Fleets and Seafarers Department of the French Directorate-General for Maritime Affairs, Fisheries and Aquaculture (DGAMPA) is published in the Official Journal of 18/04/2026.

This post's remit covers:
• the ecological and energy transition of ships;
• ship safety, naval innovation and the prevention of pollution by professional ships.

Its action covers "the entire life cycle of ships, from design to operation, including support for industrial sectors, inspections and certification".

In terms of naval innovation and the ecological transition of ships, the deputy director "promotes innovation as well as the energy, digital and ecological transitions of ships and steers the organisation of the Maritime Innovation Days".

"He will also oversee the measures to support the decarbonisation of the industry, including a €70 million funding programme.

Since 2021, the post of Deputy Director for Safety and Ecological Transition has been held by Marc Léger.
