"The relevance of e-SAF projects, encouraged by European and French regulations, no longer needs to be demonstrated. We now need to speed up the project assessment and authorisation processes, while complying with the regulations. There is a 'time-to-market': the airlines' needs are due to arrive in 2030, and we have to be ready to supply them. So we're waiting for support from the public authorities so that the projects can get through the regulatory stages as quickly as possible", Cyril Dufau-Sansot, Chairman of Hy2gen, told News Tank on 16/04/2026.

Hy2Gen announced it was abandoning its Hynovera biofuel production project in Gardanne (Bouches-du-Rhône) on 16/03/2026, after GazelEnergie, the site's owner, terminated the land agreement between the two companies.
