"Our call to action: It is time to rE-SAFe Europe" (Matteo Mirolo, Arcadia e-Fuels)

"If we blink on our mandates, we are basically evicting our own innovators. And we ensure that Europe remains hostage to fuel from abroad for the rest of this century. So today we are issuing a collective call for action. We are calling for resilience and sovereign alternative fuels for Europe. We are calling to re-SAFe Europe", declared Matteo Mirolo from Arcadia e-Fuels, an acting spokesperson for a group of European e-SAF producers, at the European Parliament, during an event held by MEPs Thomas Pellerin-Carlin and Pekka Toveri.

"The E-SAF industry is ready to deliver for the European sovereignty, but we need the political will to clear the way. To turn this into a concrete European success story, our call to action is focused around five decisive steps:

•The first one is to hold the lines on mandates. The RefuelEU regulation is the backbone of investor certainty. If the mandate wavers, the investment vanishes, and the climate and defence benefits of E-SAF vanish.
