FR/Central administration: Florian Lewis, Deputy Director for Quality and Sustainability in Construction

Florian Lewis has been appointed Deputy director for quality and sustainability in construction within the Directorate-General for Planning, Housing and Nature, by an order dated 08/04/2026, published in the Journal officiel of 10/04.

He will thus join the central administration of the ministries responsible for ecological transition, spatial planning, urban planning and housing, with effect from 01/05/2026, for a period of three years, with a probationary period of six months.

A graduate of the École polytechnique and the Ponts et Chaussées engineering schools, Florian Lewis began his career at the French Ministry for Ecological Transition as deputy head of the electricity networks office in the Directorate-General for Energy and Climate (DGEC).

He was then appointed head of the External Affairs Office of the Nuclear Industry Sub-Directorate within the DGEC. He then joined the Yvelines Departmental Directorate for Territories, as head of the planning, development and knowledge of territories department.
