FR / LPO: biodiversity training offered to 1,200 architects, town planners and developers

The French Ligue pour la Protection des Oiseaux (LPO) is offering free training to 1,200 architects, town planners and property developers to help them incorporate biodiversity into their development projects, the association announced on 08/04/2026.

The training is supported by the European LIFE programme through the Life Biodiv'France initiative, a project coordinated by the French Office for Biodiversity (OFB).

The aim of the course is to provide these professionals with the knowledge and tools they need to take account of biodiversity issues in their projects, from design to renovation of buildings.

Three courses are offered:
• Urban recycling and living soils: identifying alternatives to soil artificialisation and integrating biodiversity into the design of development projects.
• Carrying out works while taking biodiversity into account: dedicated to the worksite phase, this pathway provides tools to limit the impact on species and their habitats during the works.
