Searénité: EDF Power Solutions and Acteon part of an alliance to reduce marine noises

Chantiers de l'Atlantique, EDF Power Solutions, Heerema Marine Contractors (Netherlands), Menck (part of the British company Acteon), RTE (France), Sealence (a Greenov subsidiary) and Smulders (Netherlands) announced their collaboration in a "Searénité" consortium to "develop an advanced marine noise mitigation system for offshore operations", they announced on 07/04/2026.

"Searénité is a collective project serving the environmental cause of marine biodiversity", says Acteon. "Each partner brings complementary expertise to develop this innovative technology and a stakeholder group is formed to allow industry players to take the chance to participate and share key results with offshore wind players".

The Searénité project has been awarded a €7.1 M grant from France, as part of France 2030, operated by ADEME. Companies wishing to join can do so by providing financial support, write the members of the consortium.
