FR / Ministry for Ecological Transition: Arnaud Koehl appointed climate and decarbonisation advisor

Arnaud Koehl has been appointed climate and decarbonisation adviser in the cabinet of Monique Barbut, Minister for Ecological Transition, Biodiversity and International Negotiations on Climate and Nature, with effect from 27/03/2026, by order of 31/03/2026, published in the Journal officiel on 03/04.

He succeeds Loïc de Oliveira, who ceased his duties on 13/03/2026, as indicated in an order published in the Official Journal on 11/023.

Arnaud Koelh was until now deputy head of the unit responsible for decarbonisation of road transport in the Directorate-General for Energy and Climate (DGEC), from 2023. He previously worked as a consultant on climate law and policy for institutions in Germany, India and the United Nations. This is his first position in a ministry.
