The ambassador in charge of negotiations on climate change, decarbonised energies and climate risk prevention was heard by the Senate as part of the fact-finding mission on French climate diplomacy, which began work in February 2026.

"The EU was very active at COP30 in Belem, warning that with the current trajectory, we would not be in a position to limit global warming to below 1.5°C or even 2°C", he explains.
