Vacant position at the JRC in Seville for site director and director of “Fair and sustainable Economy”

A vacancy for the function of director to lead Directorate “Fair and Sustainable Economy” of the Joint Research Center in Seville, which will also assume the functions of Site Director, is published in the Official Journal of the EU, on 27/03/2026.

The mission of this Directorate (JRC.B), present in 3 different sites (Seville, Brussels and Ispra), is to provide macroeconomic analysis and support policy making with analytical and modelling tools.

According to the vacancy, the future director, in both roles as Director JRC.B and Site manager, "should contribute to defining the long-term vision for the Directorate’s activities, as well as for the site management, contributing to the overall implementation of the JRC strategy".

The selection and appointment will be conducted according to the European Commission’s selection and recruitment procedures. After the setup of a pre-selection panel, the selected candidates may be invited for an interview.
