€2.7 Bn granted to 54 clean industry projects under Innovation Fund 2024, 2025 call for projects now open

"54 cutting-edge projects selected under the Innovation Fund 2024 Call for Net-Zero Technologies have signed their grant agreements, marking a crucial step in scaling up their technologies", announced the European Commission on 24/03/2026. Additionally, six projects will start to prepare their grant agreements, which are expected to be finalised by mid-2026.

The 54 projects selected come from 17 countries and 17 industrial sectors, "reflecting the diverse pipeline of innovative technologies that are ready to scale", highlights the Commission. They are solutions for the decarbonisation, in the field of refineries, cement and lime, manufacturing, renewable energy and net-zero mobility (including maritime and aviation).

The six projects from the reserve list of the call are active in the manufacturing of components for renewable energy, electrolysers and critical raw material refinery (for lithium) for electric vehicle batteries, and in the glass manufacturing and chemical sectors
