France Batterie: an association launched to defend the industry in France and Europe

The aim of France Batterie is to structure and develop a competitive industrial sector in France and Europe around a common roadmap signed with the French government and social partners. This is the objective of France Batterie, an association launched by Sébastien Martin, Minister Delegate for Industry, and the French Nouveaux Systèmes Energétiques sector, during a visit to the ACC gigafactory site at Billy-Berclau (Pas-de-Calais) on 24/03/2026.

This association, which places batteries at the heart of the transformation of the European automotive industry and the energy transition, brings together 40 lithium-ion battery manufacturers (ACC, AESC, Verkor), the main research bodies covering the entire value chain, component producers, and start-ups such as Battri, which specialises in recycling.
