Paul Giovachini's appointment as advisor to Philippe Tabarot, French minister for Transports, on road mobility, ports and river transport was terminated with effect from 15/03/2026 by an order published in the Official Journal on 24/03.

Paul Giovachini was first appointed advisor on road and active mobility, ports and river transport by François Durovray with effect from 01/10/2024. He held the same portfolio under Philippe Tabarot until 13/10/2025, when a dedicated active mobility advisor, Ninon Thomas, was appointed.

Before joining the ministerial cabinet, Paul Giovachini was in charge of energy and health holdings (Orano, Areva and LFB) at the Agence des participations de l'État, a position he has held since August 2022.
