The World Economic Forum identifies over 50 viable investible opportunities for a Nature economy

"The nature-positive transition represents ~$10.000 Bn in annual opportunities by 2030, offering pathways to resilient growth and competitive advantage", writes the World Economic Forum in a report titled "50 Investible Opportunities for a New Nature Economy" released on 17/03/2026. "Business leaders increasingly recognise that taking Nature-positive action - such as tackling climate change, water stress or pollution - can not only build business resilience but also generate new opportunities. Yet capital flows remain deeply misaligned."

The WEF estimates that "in 2023, $7.300 Bn went into nature-negative activities, while only $220 Bn went into Nature-based solutions."

The report then identifies over fifty "commercially viable" opportunities, over 250 activities assessed, across thirteen sectors for investors to generate financial returns while benefiting nature. "A pipeline of over 50 investment-ready opportunities signals the rapid emergence of a scalable, sector-spanning market for Nature-positive growth", outlines the report.
