Technip Energies acquires a minority stake in Verso Energy's e-SAF project, DEZiR

Technip Energies has signed an agreement with Verso Energy to acquire a minority stake in its DEZiR (Décarbonation Seine Eure et Zone industrielle de Rouen) project, located in Petit-Couronne and Alizay (Eure), the two companies announced on 18/03/2026.

Technip Energies, through its subsidiary Rely dedicated to Power-to-X projects (in a joint venture with John Cockerill), is already carrying out the FEED for this e-SAF plant, which aims to produce 80,000 tonnes/year by 2030.

Technip Energies will contribute to the DEZiR project through the supply of its 'Canopy by T.EN' carbon capture solution, a solution based on the Shell CANSOLV CO2 capture system, to capture biogenic CO2 from neighbouring industries and enable this CO2 to be used for the production of e-SAF.

In addition, Verso Energy brings to the agreement its entire development portfolio, comprising seven e-SAF plants based in Rouen (Eure), Epinal (Vosges), Saillat-sur-Vienne (Haute-Vienne) and Tartas (Landes) in France, in Oulu and Tornio in Finland, and in Jesup (Georgia) in the United States.
