RWE : Sandra Dettmer Chief Operating Officer Renewables Europe & Australia

Sandra Dettmer has been appointed Chief Operating Officer (COO) of RWE Renewables Europe & Australia with effect from 01/04/2026, the German group announced on 11/03/2026.

This is a new position in the Group. She will be responsible for the engineering, construction and operation of wind and solar farms and battery storage systems, as well as HSE (health, safety and environment) issues. "This appointment will enable RWE to further strengthen its managerial leadership in view of the growing number of onshore wind, solar and battery storage projects currently under construction or in operation in Europe and Australia," says the energy company.

Sandra Dettmer has been Construction Director at RWE Renewables Europe & Australia since March 2025.

The senior management of RWE Renewables Europe & Australia will also change on 01/04/2026 with the arrival of Sopna Sury to replace Katja Wünschel, who is leaving the company to become development director of Vonovia, a German company operating in the property sector.
