British Department for Energy Security and Net Zero: Jonathan Brearley appointed as Permanent secretary

Jonathan Brearley is appointed as Permanent Secretary at the British Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, announced the Government of United Kingdom on 06/03/2026.

He is succeeding to Clive Maxwell "who has served as Interim Permanent Secretary while a full external recruitment process was run", specifies the UK Government.
